I took a good amount of nutrition classes in my doctorate program. However, I soon realized what I was taught about nutrition did not translate into results for patients. Additionally, I heard so much conflicting advice on nutrition. 

I then had some of my own health challenges that were not responding to traditional medical treatment. So I went on a deep dive studying the field of nutrition to find out what really works functionally. 

I started applying what I learned on myself... and it worked!  I then started applying it with my patients. The results were dramatic!

I soon learned that I did not have enough time to fully educate my patients on what I had learned. 
I had to come up with a solution. So I wrote it all in a book, printed it off at the clinic and shared the initial draft with my patients.

Luckily, they loved it. They would say, "It makes so much sense! You need to get it published!"

Eventually, I did. The book Metabolism 2.0 is the result.

I have learned that a person's diet has to be the foundation they build the rest of their health habits upon. As I have told patients many times, "You can't out-exercise a crappy diet, you can't out-medicate a crappy diet, and you can't out-supplement a crappy diet.....the diet IS the foundation to build upon!"
